Safari Food was born from a singular obsession — to bring the bold, fire-kissed flavours of East Africa to tables across the United Kingdom. We didn't open to fill a gap in the market. We opened because we had no choice. The food demanded to be shared.
Every dish we serve carries the warmth of a traditional kitchen. Every bite is a chapter in a culinary journey across East Africa — vibrant, celebratory, and deeply authentic.

The Safari Food Story
Beginning Where it started
Safari Food began with a simple but powerful idea — that the bold, fire-kissed flavours of East Africa deserved a home in the UK. What started in a home kitchen became a mission to share an entire culinary culture.
Safari Food found its first permanent home on High Street North, Manor Park — a food truck that quickly became a local landmark. The Nyama Choma spoke for itself. Word spread fast.
Park Our home base
From the original Nyama Choma to Tilapia Chef Special, Choma Goat Suya, Pilau Rice, Mandazi and beyond — the Safari Food menu expanded into a full celebration of East African cuisine.
Safari Food's catering operation grew from local events to weddings, corporate functions, festivals, and private parties across the United Kingdom.
